As we get closer to the playoffs, some good match ups are scheduled, and those are the games I usually pick for my "Games to Watch". This is the first time that I went 0-4 in these games. But, I'm guessing not many people saw the Prep upset of Roman or the Northeast upset of Washington. It was a tough week, but week 9 will be just as tough.
How we did in Week 8

Games to Watch - Week 9
Wood at O'Hara - This game may be the first of two times these teams meet in three weeks. The winner of this game will win the PCL AAA division, and the loser will get second place. Most likely, both of these teams will win their first round playoff game (no disrespect to Bonner and Carroll), and they will meet again in week 11 for the PCL AAA championship. This is, without a doubt, the most anticipated game of the season in District 12.Pick: Wood 14 - O'Hara 13
Bok at IMHOTEP - The Pub AA championship will be decided in this game. The winner will move on to play, most likely, West Catholic in the AA city title game. The loser, depending on points and whatnot, could also move on to the sub-regional playoffs. In any event, it was IMHOTEP who halted Bok's nearly decade long regular season win streak with a convincing win earlier this season. Bok will be looking for revenge. Both teams are playing well, but my money is on the experienced Bok team to pull this out.
Pick: Bok 14 - IMHOTEP 7
St Joe Prep at La Salle - Just a couple of weeks ago, Prep seemed like they were left for dead, sporting a sub-.500 record, and getting thumped by Judge. And, just like that, in the wacky world of the PCL, the Hawks are suddenly playing for the PCL AAAA division. The winner of this game gets first place, and the loser gets second. If La Salle wins, and Juge beats Ryan, there will be a three way tie for second between Prep, Roman and Judge. Prep wins the first tie-breaker (points yielded in games involving the three teams), and Roman would get third by virtue of their win over Judge.
Pick: La Salle 35 - Prep 14
Roxborough at King - This game is on the list for no other reason than the winner will secure the third playoff spot in the Pub AAA division, and the loser will need help to stay in the playoff hunt.
Pick: Roxborough 19 - King 12
