Week 9 Rankings

District 12 - Top Ten

1. St Joseph Prep (6-1, 4-0) (1) Last Week: Beat O'Hara 21-14 - Prep has now beaten the probable second and third place teams in the PCL AAAA division. Both wins were 7 point wins, so you can expect the Hawks to have to work to win it all this year, especially with hungry teams like LaSalle and O'hara waiting to get their shot at Prep again.

2. LaSalle (6-1, 3-1) (2). Last Week: Idle - LaSalle needs to get by Roman to have the expected showdown with O'hara in week 10 for second place in the AAAA division. Expectations are for LaSalle to win this week's game against Roman, but stranger things have happened this season.

3. Cardinal O'Hara (7-1, 3-1) (3). Last Week: Loss to Prep 21-14 - O'hara solidified themselves as one of the teams to beat in the AAAA division with a close loss to Prep in week 8. If they can do to Judge what Judge's last 4 opponents have done, O'hara will battle LaSalle for second place in the division in week 10.

4. Archbishop Wood (6-2, 3-0) (4) Last Week: Beat Lansdale Catholic 31-8 - The Vikings are on a collision course with the Falcons of Northeast Catholic. In week 9, it'll be a winner takes all game, with the winner taking the top spot in the division, and the loser getting second and a date with Conwell-Egan. Their game with North this week is THE game to see in the PCL.

5. West Catholic (6-2, 4-0) (6). Last Week: Beat Bishop McDevitt 28-12 - The Burrs once agains wrapped up the AA regular season division with a win over McDevitt. We fully expect them to cruise until they hit states, so they should be around here for awhile.

6. Washington (5-2, 3-1) (7). Last Week: Idle - The Eagles had a week off, yet still moved up a spot in the rankings, mainly due to Northeast losing to Frankford last week. We're still looking for Washington/Northeast or Frankford final. The first week of the Pub AAAA aren't very glamourous, so we'll see where everyone stands next week.

7. Roman Catholic (4-4, 3-1) (8). Last Week: Beat Ryan 19-7 - The Cahillites secured a playoff spot with a win over Ryan and Judge's loss to Bonner. But, they will face LaSalle this week, in a game which will determine if they really should be among the elite of AAAA ball in Philly. We see Roman finishing in fourth place and earning a first round playoff game with Prep.

8. Bok (7-0, 4-0) (10) - Last Week: Beat Franklin 45-2 - Bok, once again, is in the championship game in the Philly Pub AA division. The prize for winning this week's game will be a district championship game against, most likely, West Catholic. Some prize, huh?

9. Frankford - (3-5, 2-2) - Last Week: Beat Northeast 40-34 OT - Just when you think the Pioneers are fading in the Pub Red division, they knock off the division champ, Northeast, in a thrilling OT win. The game didn't mean much more than a confidence builder for Frankford, who will most likely take on Northeast in round 2 of the playoffs, assuming they get by a spunky Germantown team this week.

10. Northeast (4-3, 3-1) - Last Week: Lost to Frankford 40-34 OT - The Vikings were riding high with their win over Washington a few weeks back, but this week's loss brought them back to reality. You still have to play the games. Northeast has an easy first round game against MLK this week, but expect them to meet up with Frankford again in week 10 for the Pub semi-finals.

Under Consideration: Bonner, McDevitt, North Catholic
